We are just coming back down to earth after an amazing weekend with my instructor and 7x world champion Xande Ribeiro. Xande just spent what can only be described as a Jiu-Jitsu immersion here in Colorado. We started off with an awesome class up at Catalyst BJJ | Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu - Windsor on Friday. Then Saturday was at Jubera Jiu Jitsu | Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu - Denver for 3 seminars. Then we finished off with a Sunday open mat where he trained for about a dozen rounds with the guys. Definitely filled to the brim with some awesome new details for defending and attacking from the guard and passing the guard. We will get some more great pictures up soon.
It has been an amazing year of hosting the top talent in the world and I want to thank Xande again for the effort that he put into our guys. Also best of luck to him as he goes to Japan this coming weekend to compete against world champion Felipe Pena.
This week we will be going over the mount position, both escaping and attacking in Fundamentals. In the advanced class we will be covering passing drills and attacks from side control. The youth classes will be going over the bullfighter pass and talking about respect.
Here is a video of Saulo rocking the weave pass in the 2000 mundials.
